UPDATIN'

I just have some free time, and I was relaxin' so... I decided to post on here....

*I loved the movie The Social Network. I am only commenting now b/c recently I saw actor Jesse Eisenberg was on SNL with the "real" Mark Zuckerberg. Yes, it was awkward and funny, with Adam Samberg adding to it!

Also, I loved Get Him to the Greek! This movie had me laughing before I even sat down in the seat! I don't know who was better in this flick. The yummy Russell Brand, Jonah Hill or Diddy! I was very surprised Diddy had such comedic flair!

Also, Kick Ass was a great movie! I love HIT GIRL! She is the s*@>T!

Three great movies of 2010, along with Russell Crowe and Cate Blancett in Robin Hood, the Losers with Chris Evans and Idris Elba and others I mentioned last month on this blog.

*BLACK WOMEN AND JESUS-- Here we go again!
I hear Black women say this crap all the time: "Jesus is my Man", or, "I'm married to Jesus", et al. The problem with this concept is .... You ARE STILL SHARING HIM WITH OTHER WOMEN!

*About two or three weeks ago, I read about Border's going into bankruptcy. I was gonna post it on my blog, but then I thought I had time. Well, no such a thing... last week, the Borders @ Friendship Heights has a guy wearing a big sign, saying "Liquidation, Store Closing, Everything Must Go".. My heart is broken! Book Lovers everywhere are in dismay, although there's still Barnes & Noble, it's like having two kids and one is leaving forever...

*DNA Scientists have reported that 99% of African-Americans have European blood. That's virtually all of us! They also say a good 35-72% of African-Americans "may" have Native-American blood. If u doubt that, look at Obama's daughters; they have one White grandmother. DNA scientists and historians and archaeologists also say there is no such thing as "race", and that there is virtually no "pure race" human at this time in human history; it's just impossible. So why can't we all just get along? Because of the "RACE" we are in for dominance and survival????

Oh how I wish more Black folks (particularly African-Americans) would take education, academia and knowledge, more seriously. I am tired of seeing, mediocre at best, in attitudes and behaviour, taken directly from slavery, passing it on from generation to generation. You cannot make a smart man a slave. You can only be a slave if you are dumb enough to become and STAY a slave! Why do you think it was against the law for slaves to know how or learn to read? The test case that "Massuhs" everywhere learned, was my childhood favourite, author and poet, Phyllis Wheatley. I know her story well. She was snatched from Africa at 7 years old, (her words), and brought to America where the Wheatley's daughter, mostly, taught her to read, in English, Greek and Latin. She was most accomplished and made money with her writings. The pen truly is mightier than the sword. When a revolution or occupation takes over a nation, they gather up the writers first! There'll be no liberation of the minds of the people we are to oppress! Now, if you get them as children, say through the foster care system, you have destroyed the potential genius of a child, who has no home, no parents, no love, they are just a paycheck and a case number. I am tired of telling Black folks to wake the hell up! We've heard this forever,, and yet it seems, as Professor John McWhorter says, in his pivotal book, Losing the RACE, that we seem to be accepting and encouraging ignorant behaviour and not even trying to excel, in any area.I saw John McWhorter on a news show several years ago, (1999? 2000?) and I promptly went out and brought his book. Now, lest yous say, I am airing dirty laundry, let me tell you, I DON'T CARE! Black folks can't afford to be ignorant! A lot of what we do comes directly from our experiences in slavery, which explains why we suck at relationships. We have no relationship skills. After the Civil War, the former masters of former slaves, weren't caballing around saying, "We better teach them niggers to read, write, count, reason, think critically and how to communicate effectively with one another, so they can build strong relationships and strong families and strong communities!" Peshaw! So when a Black guy comes to a Black woman and says, "We just friends, but I like you and we need to get together for some nookie", it is reminiscent of slavery, where Massuh let the Young Buck stud many "gals" (except his bedwench), so he could breed those children and sell them. That way, the Black male, who could not protect nor provide for his woman nor his children, left the responsibility to the White Man, his Massuh. We dare continue this foolish slave behaviour? Black women, for the most part, understand, at some level, what's going on. I believe there is a war on Black Women, Women of All Races actually, but more so against the Black woman. Misogyny in action. The push has been on for several years to make Black women think, we have no men interested in committing to us. From Time Magazine, to CNN to Steve Harvey (I don't care what nobody says, a woman can NOT act like a woman and think like a Man-duh!),[it's physically and emotionally impossible], to Tyler Perry always having the same formula for his plays and movies, Black women, usually the "momma" type, as the crackhead, whore, promiscuous, lascivious, pitiful, neglectful, stereotypical female of a mom! Besides, who in their right mind, takes relationship advice from a COMEDIAN? I read that book, Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man, and I found it to be ridiculous. And Essence magazine has given him more space to lead women into the 40 years of wilderness in the dry ass desert! So one day, he gets on this tv show, and he says Black men do love Black women, they say they love your attitudes, and your curves and your sass and your wit! Ummm, hello, that translates into, we just wanna F**K you! We don't need commitment for that! They love your bodies? STOP TAKING RELATIONSHIP ADVICE FROM STEVE HARVEY! He got most of his stuff from a book that came out before Act Like..., by a former "pimp" by the name of Big Boom. In this book, Big Boom, author of If You Want Closure, Start With Your Legs, and How to Duck A Suckah (both very funny books), Boom, exposes a lot. What he exposed most, is surprising: In the beginning of the book, he talks about his good friend, comedian Steve Harvey! Black people taking relationship advice from comedians, damn, what's next? If I am gonna listen to a comedian, it might have to be Chris Rock. Oh wait, Black women are supposed to be mad at him, for creating/producing the movie, Good Hair. I saw this movie, over the Xmas holidays, and I was astounded. Now I know why non-Black women are so hell-bent on swinging their hair into the faces of Black women, every chance they get! I swing my hair right back, b/c I have that kinda hair, and I get sick of them thinking they are superior b/c of their "hair"? Are you kidding me? Your hair colour, texture, length, makes you a worthy, accomplished human being? For real, fool? Did you feed a child who was hungry today? I did! Did you help an animal in trouble or feed one? I did! Did you teach youngsters to read, write, knit, crochet? I did! I added to the human race! Your hair did not! Stop making Black women who don't have a certain texture or length of hair, feel unworthy or undesirable! What BS!
NOW... to you Black females... nobody, and I mean NOBODY thinks it's your real hair anyway, so stop throwing all your $$$$ away, that could be feeding your kids and paying for your education, for something that is GOING TO MAKE YOU BALD! I know of one lady, I have known for 16 years now, who still wears weave, but where the weave parts, her totally skinned head is showing! I haven't the heart to tell her, but when you stand up and she is sitting down, you can see what wearing weave has done! I am torn b/c of the movie, Good Hair. On the one had, it was enlightening, b/c I had no idea how important this was, and I was heartbroken to find out that Nia Long and Lauren London had fake hair! My daughter says I am hair illiterate! No, I just don't know about weaves and wigs and stuff. BLACK WOMEN with the real, typical hair, the crowns on your heads, b/c it doesn't lay down flat, it stands up like a crown, YOU ARE THE UNIQUE WOMAN OF THE EARTH! You are the only woman on earth that can rock any style on your hair, from cornrows to Afros to locks to braids to wavy to press 'n' curl to curly to whatever! You can have a different hairstyle everyday of the week! And you want flat, straight hair!?! Flat hair is for flat asses! They go together like cake and ice cream! I sometimes wish I had that kind of hair, b/c I am limited in what I can do with my hair, but Black women are right, Black men go crazy for a woman with long hair! I've experienced it all my life! Consequently, Chris Rock's movie, didn't touch on the plight of women with naturally so-called "good" hair. He lumped all Black women in a group together, and basically, made fun of Black women! All this is to prove that there is a definitive WAR AGAINST BLACK WOMEN. I bring this up b/c I was out in DC one night, and there was an Asian woman on the bus. I surmise she just got off the boat recently b/c of her atrocious English (if u want to call it that) and she was swinging her hair like crazy! I have noticed a lot of Asian women doing this in public, so Chris Rock's movie is having a crazed effect on them too. She was jerking her hair as she kept looking at me. , "Oh God", I thought. "here we go again with this hair shit". So before she leaves, she tells the operator how she is so sick and tired of this weave (or maybe said wig), dunno, horrible English) and how she wish it was never invented, it's such a shame), to which the brother did not respond at all, prolly b/c her couldn't understand a damn thing she was saying! I too, wish weave was never invented, my Asian Sistah! The Ethiopians laughed their asses off at her! Why, Chris, why? I believe your daughters will STILL want to wear weave or whatever, get a relaxer or whatever. Yet, everyone, How sad is your life, if the high point of it, is "hair"? It's all dead! That's why when you cut it, it doesn't hurt and it doesn't bleed, just like your fingernails.
This is just another attack on Black women, in the War Against Black Women! Black women, let's Rock the Real, and I guarantee you a whole lotta women will be copying off of YOU!

PRESIDENT OBAMA'S SPEECH vs BARNEY FIFE

"Priyush" Jindal (Jindahl-a), not Jindle, is one more fake-ass wannabe of the GOP. If he changed his name at nine years old, his name is not Bobby. In the US of America if u are under the age of majority, u cannot change your name, your parents or guardians have to change your name legally. This guy is as bogus as it gets. "Bobby" is supposed to be more relatable, b/c nobody, especially in the South (let's be real) is gonna vote 4 Priyush Jindala.
The Republicans are at it again, parading their "best and brightest" showing what fluff really is. Barack Obama didn't change his name b/c he is 4 real. Take him or leave him. I didn't even finish listening to Jindal's cringe-worthy rebuttal. I couldn't. Too painful to watch. Listen America... the stakes are too high 4 US and our survival RIGHT NOW, to keep pitting seasoned politicians who keep their cool under enormous pressure, with cowboys, puppy killers and Barney Fifes who participate in "excorcisms". None of US can afford more games and tricks. Eight years of the wrong choice did that 2 US! We can't go there again.
How do you Republicons care about the deficit NOW when u had 8 years 2 care about it, and there was a surplus when your good ol' boy got there?
Note to Barney/Bobby/Priyush,Whatever, that botched Katrina job, was Bush's government, your brother-in-arms!
Republicans are showing Americans their asses but the crap is on their hands. Don't give US more crap!

MORE THOUGHTS ON INAUGURATION WEEK

Listen up America! Whatever happens 2 U, happens to me first! Pay attention.

*After the National Nightmare (and the International Nightmare), The Dream Comes True
Bush #2, Then Obama, who is #1.

*Bill Clinton-one step 4ward
Bush #2- two steps back
Obama-move2 the front of the line! U have won the race!
(why do u think they call it "race"?)

*OMG! Oprah and Obama! Talk about Black Power!
(Note 2 White People, don't get scared. PEACE

*BTW, now everyone can get off Oprah's back, b/c she first gave an interview to Michelle and Barack Obama on her show 4 his books "AND" purportedly gave "whatever it takes" to put him out there. Rappers take note. PEACE AND U-N-I-T-Y.

*Trailblazing film director and producer Spike Lee comments that history is now...
B.B-Before Barack, and A.B.-After Barack. Wow!

*Speaking of MY PRESIDENT-MILKING OBAMA-Cashing in on the Barack-star. What's next? I admit, I just bought a bottle of Barack Water @ 7-11! I bought Obama cookies two weeks ago. They had his face on the cookies. I couldn't resist. I bought my
t-shirts early, back in February 2008, so I could sleep w/him every night. I was going to buy the life-size cardboard cut-out of him, so I could "take Obama home w/me", but a Latino guy was laughing at my comment and I would have looked ridiculous carrying him around. I wonder what's next? Obama underwear, so u can feel intimate w/ him?

*WE THE PEOPLE of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA, allowed Bush #2 & Co. 2 ru(i)n this beautiful country (USA) into the ground. And our taxes paid 4 it!

*OBAMA's economic recovery plan (stimulus). Finally an economic recovery plan 4 the American people! U see,for eight looooonnnng years, many Americans realized that we were treated as enemies. Under OBAMA, we are united. Under Bush #2, well, he's the divider!

*Politics for the Non-Political- This I know 4 sure: it matters unequivocally whom u vote 4. All Supreme Court Justices are appointed by the President. They are NOT elected and they are Supreme Court Justices 4 THE REST OF THEIR LIVES! They decide what your rights are and how u will live your life. I learned this in my American Government and Legal Studies classes in 2000, B.B.

*Politics and History for the Non-Political-This I also know 4 sure: The Democratic Party was founded in 1792 by non other than President Thomas Jefferson. His reasoning was to fight the "elitists" (the Federalist Party?) The Democrats are well-known 4 fighting 4 women's rights, the civil rights battles, child welfare laws being enacted, the social safety net 4 those who may slip through the cracks, and a fair progressive income tax. Democrats are well-known for INCLUDING rather than EXCLUDING people.

*Some of the celebrities spotted in Washington, DC during inauguration week: Oprah of course, George Clooney, Hayden Panettiere, Jamie Foxx, Beyonce', Samuel L. Jackson, Usher, Mary J. Blige, the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin, Jay-Z, Larry King, Diddy, and all the political pundits. It was a festive occasion indeeed. (If I left out any notables, sorry.)

HAIL TO THE CHIEF-PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA

Well, it's official... the long journey home to the White House is history. Inauguration Day started for me at 1am, waking up and getting to Independence Avenue, SE in Washington, DC, a little after 4 am. There were already throngs of people, crowding the streets everywhere. I had my credentials and my id because I had registered as a volunteer, weeks ahead of time. It was a wonderful day and I met people from everywhere, literally. As far away as California and Oregon, even Canada...there were lots of Canadians there with their flags w/ the red maple leaf on it. The Canadian Embassy was on the parade route, but Secret Service had it blocked off for most of the day. It was a festive occasion and an historical one. Tears came to my eyes as my President took the Oath of Office. We (the crowd I was with in the morning and early afternoon) cheered, cried, hugged each other, laughed and yes, many booed when George "Dubya" Bush came out of the halls of the Capitol for the swearing-in ceremony. I always thought I hated Bush Number Two until that day... I felt kinda sorry for him. On second thought... naaaahhh, I don't like him, but hate is a strong word. I will not hate on him and I believe he did what he thought was right for the country. It just wasn't right, though.
Nevertheless, it was a momentous occasion. Also, YouTube is afloat with these accusations about Beyonce' singing at the inauguration. As I told y'all before, there were several petitions going around on the net to stop her from singing. Now many of her fans are saying nasty things b/c they believe she sang there. Those of us who were really there know that Diva Legend Aretha Franklin sang at the inauguration, right before Obama was sworn in. It happened, as always, on the Capitol, outside, where all the citizens are witnesses to this event, and the members of Congress and the Senate are there, along w/ all the former Presidents and First Ladies and the Supreme Court Justices. Beyonce' actually sang on the Sunday b4the inauguration at the Lincoln Memorial, at a free concert entitled We Are One, w/ several other entertainers, such as Bruce Springsteen (one of my mentions), Sheryl Crow and others. Jay-Z gave a concert but it wasn't free and open to the general public. Beyonce' also sang the first song at the first inaugural ball that the President and First Lady attended. They attended 10 balls in all so they couldn't spend all night at that one and get up in the morning for church service at the National Prayer at the National Cathedral. Too much! In the late afternoon and evening, my kid and I were right there at the Capitol Hilton for a ball, teaming w/ police from all over the nation, many dispersed all over Washington, DC and we saw many celebs as they got out of the limos. It was more exciting than the two Clinton parades and inauguration, b/c many people were still fired up 4 Obama, even after he was sworn in. They were still chanting his name! I've never seen crowds like that. So MANY people! Do I feel bad that I was in a posh hotel, warm and comfy while the hordes were outside? Not really, b/c I did my part. We were treated very lavishly after the swearing-in ceremony. Many people, especially African Americans, had never taken part in an inauguration, and didn't have a clue what it entails. That's why it pays to read my blog or read the United States Constitution and books, so u will know what the heck is going on. See, a lot of people assume that Beyonce' sang at the inauguration, which she did not. As I have said previously, inaugurations ARE NOT ENTERTAINMENT EVENTS. They are political and legal events. My kid learned so much from this one. She was rapt w/ attention, once we got out of the bitter cold at 4am. The volunteer captains were already out there on the other side of the Air and Space Museum and they were holding up placards so that each volunteer who arrived would know his team, if he/she read her email, text messages and/or recieved a phone call from PIC. We were to stand behind the Team Captains in line. We (my kid and I) were dispersed to several different locations. It was unbelievably cold at 4 am in the morning and there was only ONE warming bus! For millions of people! The Secret Service would not let people in who didn't have credentials. Luckily I had mine and was let through the line. Some people got upset and tried to push through the gates and fences after me, but they got seriously pushed back and threatened by police (Officer K was gracious) and several Secret Service men. They were NOT playing! I tried to get in my relatives, but they preferred to wait b/c they thought I wouldn't be able to get them in w/just my pass. I came back later and they were gone. I had warm hats and hot tea 4 them. Nevertheless, I will post my pictures of Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann of MSNBC right across the street in their own warm enclosure, live. They turned around several times to smile and wave at the happy crowds. I also got a picture of the CNN Express bus but we couldn't find, nor see Anderson Cooper anywhere, darn it. Tried though we did! Also, we stayed and got some great pictures of the parade, even the podium where the First Family sat and watched the parade, where Al Roker screamed for the President and First Lady to come on over and talk to him, but of course he couldn't. He smiled and waved and Al Roker jumped up and down like an excited fan. It was great. We met Ekhu (hope I spelled it right) an Associated Press journalist and photographer from Israel, who thought we were beautiful and helped us up to the podium, but after the Obamas were already gone. We stayed for the whole parade. Utah had a booming, jazzy, soul-filled band! I was shocked that they could groove like that! Early on, there was a parade of policemen, sheriffs, park rangers and military men/women all marching down the street. I got a picture of one taking a picture of himself w/ his digital camera as he marched in unison. I was fully aware of all that was happening b/c during the orientation and registration of volunteers at the Inaugural Committee, they gave us the map routes, a book on inaugural facts and history, and the schedules 4 Inauguration Week for the President, the Vice President and the First Lady and Vice President's wife. I am keeping that book 4 a museum or something b/c I doubt anyone else has thought of doing that. Maybe the American History Museum at the Smithsonian? All the First Ladies' inaugural gowns are there. Btw, Our First Lady looked amazing in her golden-greenish ensemble and her green Jimmy Choo shoes! And of course, the First Daughters of the Nation, were (and are) simply adorable! I like the advice Jenna and Barbara gave to them, especially to remember, he's your dad. I am so enthralled that there was not one violent incident and no arrests, in the spirit of the Obama campaign and the transfer of power was smooth. Thank God Senator Ted Kennedy is better and out of the hospital. I wonder why he wasn't sent to George Washington Medical Center, instead of Washington Hospital Center. Okay, it may be about the same distance from the captiol, but some things are better than others in my opinion. No slam on WHC.
All in all, it was a very good day to be alive and kicking and be witnesses to history. Note: On Day One as President, Obama started on the closing of Guantanamo and letting the civilized world know that the US does not ignore the Geneva Conventions and torture prisoners, so that our soldiers, if captured, will not be subjected to torture (it is our hope); so that is the beginning of rebuilding the United States' image to our allies and our ... not-so-allies. There are many things on the President's plate, and as he said, we need to get to work. We (well, I know I am) ready to work w/ THIS administration and rebuild the America I knew as a child and adult, and missed dearly during the National Nightmare that lasted 8 (count' em) 8 LOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNG years! Also, a shout out to the DNC, who knew a great strategy would bring back those who were decieved by biblical talk, w/o the biblical walk! I mean, we are all adults here, we should all know RIGHT FROM WRONG! The civil CIVIL war that was fought during these years was a fight to the finish, and for the greater good. Pro bono. My President knows what this really means as he is a lawyer and he taught consitutional law. I was studying this when the Bush administration came into being.
I gotta go there... as I said, I don't appreciate all the hate on Beyonce', she is human, but since she said she wants to be smarter, I hope she makes good on that, so she can be more articulate and not bring so much derision on herself. A lot of people are disrespecting her b/c she is not expressing herself intelligently enough to be taken seriously, but she is an entertainer, not a scholar. Still, I hope she will be inspired to inspire others who look up to her. If The Obamas were not articulate, educated and intelligent, they would not be where they are today! I certainly would not have read his books and listened to him. I wouldn't have even shown up at American University, were he not an intelligent man. Blackness has nothing to do w/it! I admire and respect knowledge and unity. That said, hope her fans will learn more as well. Also, Another post soon, too much to say. I will give it to you incrementally. Peace be unto u all, no matter what. All is right w/ the world. Smile.

INAUGURATION FEVER!!!

Okay. I have been very excited about the inauguration of MY PRESIDENT, but I am having trouble seeing how over one million people from all over, will fit comfortably in my tiny hometown, a great city by the way! Don't get me wrong, I know this is an historical event and I am so proud to have helped out in my own small way, but already I have witnessed buses from Montana, Wyoming and New York streaming into DC, the Capital City. Traffic is already more of a mess than ususal and I am just having a hard time imagining how this will play out, what with DC bars and restaurants and other venues open 24-7 or until 4 am for inaugration week. Obama-mania is in full effect (party like Barack-star, he's totally cooool), but I can't even imagine it. Washington, DC is used to tourists year round. We love our tourists (unless we are in a hurry) and we respect our tourists and will even stop walking while they take pictures of the monuments (sometimes) and continue walking once they are through, but... millions all at once? I just can't imagine. Hey Mayor Fenty, what are you gonna do for the homeless in DC for inauguration week? Are you a) gonna get them off the streets so that everyone sees the capital city in a new light (change?) or are you b) gonna let them stay out there and rack up some big time food and money like the vendors and other businesses are gonna do (hope)?
History is being made, right here, right now. All eyes are on my hometown.

Hey Y'all

Luv and Kisses...

*Misnomer-For those of U who believe that U can read a file or a blog and know about someone, U are mentally slow! It's like expecting the President to abolish the Supreme Court decision making abortion legal. U know the decision, Roe vs. Wade? It can't happen like that b/c it's a law and U have to follow the law, whether U agree or not. Same with reading something or hearing something about someone. It doesn't mean U know that person at all. Right?

*Don't Play Me Small: That's what Oprah said at the UCLA rally in California, when she was accused by those who said she had jumped ship from women's empowerment and issues. She: "Oprah, how could U? U R a woman." She replied, "Yes, I am and I am a free woman, and as a free woman U have the right to change your mind. and that's with all things." Also, Michelle Obama, an articulate and passionate woman, and Caroline Kennedy and Maria Shriver-Schwarzenegger were all there. Great speeches.

*Speaking of an Obama... Is Barack Black enough? What determines who is "Black enough"? And WHO determines if someone else is "Black enough"? And what does Black enough mean? And Black enough for what?

*Someone says I do not like Hillary Clinton. Untrue. I admire Hillary and Bill Clinton and supported them vehemently during their 8 years in the W.H. They did a lot of good there. I already knew Hillary's issues, I just went to hear Obama's issues b/c all I knew of him was his book, Audacity of Hope. Someone asked me to be there, so I came. It will be interesting to see how the Democratic convention will turn out in Colorado. I understand the 1968 Convention in Chicago was a muh-hunchie!

*Are U Experienced? People question Obama's experience, and I heard a caller on C-SPAN last week. He said "No one has experience being President until they have actually been the President".

*Donna Edwards beat out Al Wynn for Maryland.

*Are we still ONE nation, under God, INDIVISIBLE? With LIBERTY and JUSTICE for ALL? Are we still the land of the FREE and the home of the BRAVE? Don't be scared!

*DENZEL WASHINGTON- On Black Friday, I wanted to do something different besides go shopping. I'd been out enjoying myself in a very different Thanksgiving and just didn't want to come back and do the same ol', same ol... so I went to see American Gangsta. A true story with Mr. Denzel Washington, the opening scene was uber-violent! I understand that an artist has to stretch! In December, right b4 Xmas, I received 2 free passes to a sneak preview of The Great Debaters, also w/ Denzel. I LOVED this movie! It was also a true story and I had never heard of these people and it was about an HBCU and "one person" said they didn't want to see it b/c Oprah always does movies that are about slavery and oppression but at the end was clapping! I recommend this movie especially for young adults and the like. Forrest Whittaker and Jurnee Smollett (remember on Full House? Stephanie's friend) were also in this movie. Excellent!

*Congratulations to Gary Coleman who got married to a woman 20 years younger and much taller as well. I hope they remain happy.

*Watch your non-GMO's y'all. Just b/c it's labeled "organic", doesn't really mean it's better for u.

*People.com has a section of the world's most beautiful or sexy women and they are all in their late 30s and 40's and beyond, like Halle Berry, Selma Hayek, Charlize Theron and Susan Sarandon. Interesting.

*Divas Dahling...Aretha Franklin is upset with Beyonce' over her onstage duet with Tina Turner. Oh-oh! Also I saw Patti LaBelle on CNN this morning being interviewed about Black women contracting HIV from Black men on the down-low. I was just waking up so I am not sure, but I think it's for a new movie she's in about this subject. And Katherine Hepburn, Dorothy Dandridge and Dakota Staton are on exhibit at the Portait Gallery. It is awesome, with Kate's Oscars on display and clips of some of her movies in a tv screen to watch and everything! A must see!

*Saw Perez Hilton's Big Divas Show on VH-1 the other day. He had Chaka Khan and Dolly Parton and Mary J. Blige on. He also said Prince was a male Diva. Umm, the term is Divo. Anyways, he had a Diva Checklist which includes: big hair, big closet, hangs w/ other Divas, makes demands, has a pimped out tour bus... w/ a name of its own, is inspiring to others (of course), won't let others run over them (Never!), has a personal chef (unless U R Miss Patti LaBelle and U can cook and love to cook), has gorgeous gams, wears lots of jewelry, is an international jetsetter, has false modesty(hah!), is a born entrepreneur, loves the gays (and gays love them), and makes a diva entrance. Show was good, what I caught of it. Salt n Pepa were on there and they mentioned Miss Miley Cyrus!!! The best of both worlds.... I love that show! Her dad is so hot!

*Note to DListed and Celebitchy-Still love ya! Always and forever...

*Hang tough, Britney!

*Animal Planet-I will try not to watch this show anymore b/c I hate to see how awful humans treat their planet mates, the animals! Besides, Meerkat Manor is sad, though at times funny. first Flower dies, then Mozart. It was so heartbreaking to see her stand alone and lonely and scared, under the moonlight all night and then laying dead by dawn, probably the work of a jackal. Flower and Mozart are desert Divas!
