TAKE SOME TIME TO SMELL THE ROSES...

Hey y'all... been busy as I know U have been, if U have a life. Here's some info I wanted to share over the last... whatever:

-This is mostly for African ladies, but I did want to mention a really beautiful, hot actor named Vin Vicker. He is supposedly half-Ghanaian and half-Dutch. He is 100 % gorgeous! Just wanted to give a shout out to Vin in the hopes that he will cross over soon. He was in NYC in June.

-I just finished reading "Thing" of Beauty: The Tragedy of Supermodel Gia by Stephen Fried. It is a very sad book. In the late '70s and early '80s, I wondered what happened to this exotic beauty and only found out a few years ago. One moment she was everywhere and the next moment she seemed to have vanished. I thought she was Italian by nationality and made her success here in the USA and went back to Italy. Of course, "A thing of beauty is a joy forever", is from the poet John Keats. A "thing" is what a model can feel like in the industry b/c they are commodities. I just wish Gia had more support, maybe the outcome would've been different. Don't know.

-Speaking of support, this Britney Spears debacle is unbelievable! It might be nice for her to recover and recuperate away from the paparazzi (her children as well should have that peace) but since everyone makes money off of her, the paps and the media in general aren't gonna let her have rest. Some say she enjoys and invites the attention, like Paris Hilton does. I don't know. I am sure she loves her babies. I used to laugh when DListed and Celebitchy called her Shitney Spears, but it's not funny when a mother loses her kids. She needs to fight like hell to get them back. Whatever it takes, do it!

-Oh yeah, and I saw her performance on the VMAs and she does NOT look fat! She is about 5'4" and had 2 babies in less than 2 years. Some say she doesn't fit the celebrity role b/c she let herself go. It happens. She is human, right? Is she allowed to be a human being, like the rest of us?

-Speaking of VMAs, RiRi (Rihanna) says that everyone needs to leave Britney alone.

-And speaking of RiRi, she is on 2 different covers of Vibe Vixen both August/September 2007. In the article, she says b/c of her Caribbean upbringing, she never would have thought about dating White guys, but all the guys that are killin' it right now are hot White guys...

-Which leads to the next thing... UNDERSTAND THE GAME! I have been criticized (and publicly, no less) for going from the spiritual to the entertainment in my blog. If U don't like it dear, don't read it! I never invited U to read it anyway. I am flesh and blood as well as spirit. I know U get most of your "ideas" from what U read on my blog, and it pisses U off when I write about entertainment stuff. Too baaaad! Guess U gotta find somebody else to steal from.

-Jezebel, what a bell... (I love that song from Sade); there is a phenomenon called the Jezebel spirit in churches everywhere. Jezebel was a demon-possessed woman in the Bible, who wreaked havoc on Elijah, a man of God, and caused him to want to die, b/c she was a lying, deceitful, wicked, murderous, slanderous, controlling (that's what evil spirits do), gangstalking, meddler, lying to, tricking and bossing around her weak-minded hubby, the so-called "king". Just google in "Jezebel spirit" or read the Old Testament account in 1 Kings and her and her hubby's comeuppance (or karma, if U so call it), in 2 Kings in the Bible.

-Take some time to smell the roses, b4 U end up pushing up daisies!

No one in their twenties made the list; just like on Divas the Site, they say they are not seasoned enough yet, not polished and haven't come into their own know ing exactly who they are. They are still testing the waters of life.

*At a friends' house about a month ago, I saw a movie called The Seat Filler with Duane Martin and Kelly Rowland and Mel B (Scary Spice) Brown. I watched it but had a party engagement to attend, so I never finished watching it. I think it was on BET or something.

* HSM2: I watched High School Musical 1 w/ my kid about 5 times and I don't know how many times w/ one of my god-daughters. I was actually singing Get Your Head in the Game. Twice I have seen a write-up in the Washington Post about HSM. It is a phenomenon. Zac Efron looks somehow different from the first movie. He looks "pretty" now. Very pretty!
