Hello, Hello Hello, I just want to say Hello

Okay, here are my "blog talking points":
1-Randi Rhodes and Laura Flanders of Air America Radio
2-the death of John H. Johnson of the Johnson Publishing empire (Ebony/Jet magazines) and the Fashion Fair Cosmetics and Ebony Fashion Fair, which launched many careers; has died
3-Cindy Sheehan (no comment) She's not the only one who has been smeared and villified, harassed and slandered. At least she has others in her corner. I am all alone in my plight, but it's pretty much the same battle as hers.
4-Is the Pope catholic?-Last January or February, when Pope John Paul II was gravely ill and in all the news media, my daughter and I walked past a newstand and she eyed all the print media and remembered all the tv and radio mentions about the Pope and she asked: "Mom is the Pope Catholic?" I thought it was funny, so I put it in here. Just remembered it. So much going on in our lives, constantly...
5-Read some excerpts of Hans J. Massaquoi's autobiography, about growing up in Nazi Germany while being of mixed race, and being raised by a single mom (mom was German but his dad was African). He turned out well, very successful and all, considering all the potential drama that could have ensued)
6-That lead me to a link for/called MixedFolks.com ... (interesting)
7-Speaking of the 2 items above, Strom Thurmond's daughter comes to mind, no particular reason ...
8-Gonna miss Being Bobby Brown, a great show in my opinion. It had some funny moments, and after all the hoopla we have heard and read about Bobby and Whitney, it seems they are kinda average ( I said kinda), with talent. Very entertaining, which was the idea. Wish they could have been on longer because I rarely watch tv anymore (it's all so crappy) and well, it was different. I am big fan of both, and Bobbi Christina, too.
9-Keep dreaming of my oldest nephew, who is in the military (miss you Curt, love you) and my brother Joe (love you too, Joe, wish you could get your life right; tried to help you do that, but the "authorities" twisted it to make it appear that "I" have the drug problem, so now that my reputation is ruined by lies, I have to just pray for your well-being instead of help you.
(hard to see your heroes be human) [mom and 3 big brothers]
10-What I remember about the case of Sandra Laing. The little girl in South Africa who was "White" until she started darkening up and her hair started curling up and she was appearing "coloured" and her family didn't know what to do with her so the South African government kicked her out of school and her father tried not to have her classified as "coloured" and she ended up running away with the Black gardener who worked for her family and she was estranged from her family (her brothers still won't speak to her and this all happened in the 60's and 70's). I was a child myself when I watched her story unfold on PBS. I have never forgotten her and I think about her sometimes, even now.
11-Since I love talk radio... I listen to so many of "them":G. Gordon Liddy, Randi Rhodes, Al Franken, Ed Schultz etc on Air America Radio, Pacifica with Ambrose I.Lane,Sr. and Amy Goodman and of course, the Black Eagle-Joe Madison on WOL-Radio One. Sometimes I worry the Thought Police will come for me for not "choosing a side" of the road to stick with, in my listening pleasures. INGSOC. INGSOC.
12-I caught the end of an Ellen Degeneres show where 2 young Black males were playing the violins hip hop style. Wish I could somehow find them. They were excellent!
13-The Brazilian man (Jean Charles De Menzezes (?) who was thought to "look like a terrorist" and was shot at close range by the police in London, and it turned out he was... innocent on all accounts. This is my fear because people have always looked at me and assumed I was from somehwere else including India, Pakistan, Brazil, Ethiopia, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, etcetera, etcetera and of course many think I look "pakistani" or Muslim". ... (maybe that's why the police constantly watch my daughter and I; but guess what-- we come from a long line of African Americans born and raised right in the nation's capital (Washington, DC). I am a fifth generation Washingtonian on my mom's side and on my dad's side, all from North Carolina! Ooh, how exotic!
That's All folks!
