Michael Jackson Verdict

06-14-05
Well, MJ was found "not guilty". This means "blacklash" is coming! I listened to Joe Madison on WOL (Radio One) and some callers mentioned the "blacklash" began immediately after the verdict was read. In Baltimore, MD and in Davenport, Iowa and elsewhere. That's just the tip of the iceberg.
Why must this be a racial issue? I guess MJ was wrong: it really does matter if your'e Black or White.
Initially, I was shocked. Yes, his behaviour may be bizarre and he doesn't (by any means) fit the norm of our society, but should Blacks pay the price for MJ's behaviour? The fights that broke out over the MJ verdict show that racism is firmly entrenched. Yet, there was no Black person on the jury. Also, money surely played a part of some, as well as MJ's celebrity.
Question: Is it every Black person's fault when OJ Simpson and MJ do crazy things? OJ beats/kills his wife and it's every Black person's fault? I never liked OJ anyway. Too cocky. MJ sleeps with little boys and it's every Black person's fault? BS! That's crazy! What about blaming the parents who prostituted their sons before MJ who was accused before (red flag, red flag!)This really is about money more than racism or sexual molestations. If MJ was a poor man, he'd be under the jail for 3, 4, 5 lifetimes! Remember, Blacks and some Whites (usually poor Whites) get accused of things, set up and sent to prison and it sometimes turns out to be they were/are innocent. Just a thought.
